What We're Doing
We are actively monitoring COVID-19 in partnership with the World Health Organization and the Center for Disease Control and have issued new policies for everyone working with us effective immediately. As this situation evolves, we’ll assess these guidelines and change them as necessary to ensure we’re doing all we can to keep people and workspaces safe.
Weekend Wrestling is exploring every possibility to support the COVID-19 response. This is an extraordinary crisis that necessitates extraordinary measures and actions from both the public and private sectors. Weekend Wrestling will do everything possible to fight back against this pandemic.
Supporting our Wrestling Superstars
Right now, more than ever, the talented athletes who work so hard to train, perform and provide the entertainment we love are in a difficult situation. Almost all live independent shows have been canceled, and all of these shows depend on crowds to cover expenses and pay the talent. Since wrestlers work as independent contractors without benefits that employees enjoy, when there’s no work, there’s no pay. Because we are a studio-based operation and don’t depend on a live audience for income, we will be in a unique position to provide wrestlers an income, once we are cleared to do so. We believe this will happen before venues will be allowed to be occupied by spectators.
At the same time, we believe we have found a way for you to personally and directly impact the lives of our friends in their time of need. Please consider purchasing a Sponsored or Custom Match today. This will allow give us a larger budget to hire more talent, that is the talent of your choice, so we can get these boys back to earning a paycheck doing what they love doing.
Weekend Wrestling has ceased production of new videos and like the rest of the world, are staying at home. This stoppage includes the production of custom and sponsored matches. We will resume production when it is safe and lawful to do so, adapting to strategies that allow talent, crew and staff to be as safe as possible.
