Fresh from a Mexican vacation, ZMan is physically back at Weekend Wrestling but mentally still somewhere south of the border—dancing at ringside in sunglasses and an “I’m Your Papi” shirt, sipping tequila, and partying like reality can wait. Stefan Stone, meanwhile, has taken no time off and remains sharply focused, fully conditioned, and at the top of his game. Stone’s patience quickly runs out, and ZMan is unceremoniously tossed into the ring, where the sunglasses come off first, the shirt follows, and the carefree vacation fantasy gives way to 24+ minutes of hard-hitting, sweaty wrestling.
The match features blatant choking against the ropes and beneath a firmly planted boot, punishing sleeper holds, savage gut punishment with driving shoulder blocks, a tightly cinched cobra clutch, multiple deep camel clutches, a dizzying airplane spin, and vicious low blows delivered through brutal foot stomps, a crushing knee drop, and stiff forearms. A wrenching ankle lock leaves Stone limping, a heavy leg drop, a modified single-leg Boston crab cruelly tangled in the ropes, another tightly applied single-leg Boston crab in the center of the ring, multiple core-crushing bodyscissors, a grinding seated full nelson, a jarring atomic drop, a torturous figure-four leg lock, and further sleeper punishment keep the bodies stretched, squeezed, twisted, and grinding together. ZMan may have strutted in as a tequila-sipping fiestero, but Stefan punishes him back to reality by peeling away every last trace of his carefree vacation swagger.
This is arguably one of the best squash matches Weekend Wrestling has produced; both wrestlers are talented performers who assume their roles well and put on a very enjoyable bout! Byers is a formidable heel who expertly takes Dante apart from start to finish, and Dante is the doomed jobber who never stood a chance due to a leg injury! Byers applies underhanded tactics to secure an unfair victory, frequently going for Dante’s weakened leg and his balls! He repeatedly puts Dante in humiliating holds and puts him to sleep only to wake him up again; I love how often Byers begins to pin Dante but pulls him up at the last second to continue the one-sided match! Dante sells defeat very well, and it is obvious that Byers enjoyed toying with him! A couple friendly critiques: I wish this match had been a little lengthier, and I would have liked Byers to pull/play with Dante’s hair more throughout the match! It would also be very exciting for many fans if there was a sequel match where Byers further humiliated and defeated Dante in an unfair fashion! In conclusion, this is a great round that is worthy of five stars and is a must have for fans of squash matches!
Both wrestlers have impressive physiques. The trash talking is very clever-really enjoyable to watch the back and forth
Fun Match between the two especially with the eqiupment. Great back and forth!!
