Weekend Wrestling turns the heat all the way up for Zman’s long-awaited return, his first time back in the ring since that brutal 2020 car crash tried to take him out of the game. The camera fades in on him stretching in low-rise black and gold trunks, black kneepads, purple-and-silver boots and a backwards cap, sizing up his opponent off-camera like he’s already made his decision about how this night ends. Then Asher Strand steps into view—6'3", 200 lbs of shredded 8-pack muscle poured into tight pink-and-blue trunks, white kneepads and white shoes—openly admitting he’s excited to test himself against the veteran. Zman, ever the smooth operator, offers the tall geek god a “shortcut to glory”: just lie down, take the 1-2-3, get paid, and go grab a drink with his pride still mostly intact. Asher actually plays along for a second, stretching out on the canvas and letting Zman drape that hard, tanned body over his—but before the count can hit three, the rookie changes his mind, bucks out, and they tie up for real, gear grinding and muscles straining as the return match and debut clash explode to life.
What follows is a sexy, punishing lesson in give-and-take. Zman shows the kid what veteran disrespect feels like first—pinning Asher in the corner and lighting up that 8-pack with a vicious series of kicks and forearms before driving a shoulder block deep into his gut. He goes after the taller stud’s wheels with sharp kicks and groin stretches, folding those long legs wide for the cameras, then clamps on a reverse bearhug that crushes Asher’s torso from behind. A camel clutch cranks his back and frames his abs, an arm bar isolates one limb, and body scissors, a full nelson, and a clean body slam all take turns putting Asher’s big, lean frame on display, while Zman keeps hunting for his signature figure-four leglock with multiple thwarted attempts before switching to a figure-four headscissors and even some blatantly illegal chokes to keep control. But Asher isn’t here just to suffer. He wraps Zman in a reverse headlock, pins him in the corner with his own kicks and punches to the midsection—telling him he’s “learning from the best” as he copies the punishment—then digs in with a Boston crab that bends Zman’s back and a camel clutch that forces the model’s chest up for inspection. When Asher hoists him across his knee in an over-the-knee backbreaker, Zman’s tan, glossy body is draped and stretched for a perfect shot, proving that this comeback and debut aren’t a simple coronation for either man—they’re a sweaty, gear-tight battle over who gets to own the spotlight.
This is arguably one of the best squash matches Weekend Wrestling has produced; both wrestlers are talented performers who assume their roles well and put on a very enjoyable bout! Byers is a formidable heel who expertly takes Dante apart from start to finish, and Dante is the doomed jobber who never stood a chance due to a leg injury! Byers applies underhanded tactics to secure an unfair victory, frequently going for Dante’s weakened leg and his balls! He repeatedly puts Dante in humiliating holds and puts him to sleep only to wake him up again; I love how often Byers begins to pin Dante but pulls him up at the last second to continue the one-sided match! Dante sells defeat very well, and it is obvious that Byers enjoyed toying with him! A couple friendly critiques: I wish this match had been a little lengthier, and I would have liked Byers to pull/play with Dante’s hair more throughout the match! It would also be very exciting for many fans if there was a sequel match where Byers further humiliated and defeated Dante in an unfair fashion! In conclusion, this is a great round that is worthy of five stars and is a must have for fans of squash matches!
Both wrestlers have impressive physiques. The trash talking is very clever-really enjoyable to watch the back and forth
Fun Match between the two especially with the eqiupment. Great back and forth!!
