Weapons Match
Gabe Steel is one of underground wrestling’s most notable athletes, having spent immeasurable hours training and wrestling with some of the biggest names in the business. That begs the question then, “Why would Gabe bring a spear to a wrestling match?” The answer to that becomes more clear when it is understood that his opponent is Drew Harper and Drew isn’t a stranger to the introduction of foreign objects in matches when it things aren’t going in his direction, or even when they are. Beyond that, Scrappy and John Wolfboy can attest that this isn’t exactly the Savage’s first time bringing his trusty and arguably ‘STOLEN’ spear to the Weekend Wrestling ring. It probably won’t be the last.
With a baseball bat, a whip, a riding crop and spear close at-hand, Drew and Gabe at first seem to agree to engage in a more honorable contest, although “honorable” is a word that is seldom used in association with Weekend Wrestling events. A suplex, a bear hug, a bow and arrow and a baseball bat … yup, just like that the weapons of war emerge and whatever honor was in their bodies, perspired out in the form of glistening sweat and testosterone. Then, testosterone itself became a target with every kick, crushing boot, crippling claw and the weapons … have we mentioned the weapons? It’s ironic that these wrestlers fertilized a new generation in CBT, while they sealed their own fate in annihilating each other’s reproductive potential with every stomp, kick, crush, claw, head butt and forearm uppercut.

Brendan was too soft with Brody! Fake movements, fake pain on the faces, fake, fake..... Normally, when Brendan is brutal, someone will "scream on the spit" at the end of the match!
Brendan Byers always dominates every opponent Weekend Wrestling serves up to him. I was glad to see Brody Merritt teaming with BBB in dismantling Scrappy. TBH, I've never liked Scrappy and so, it was fun watching him get worked over by two of my faves. Great video and great action. Thank you,Weekend Wrestling, and thank you, Weekend Wrestlers!
